Upon Arrival
I have heard of a village that is being viciously attacked by a vile monster that has the name Grendel. He fills the people's minds with terror and causes copious amounts of pain to the residents.Their mead hall has been still for twelve years now due to his raids, leaving the kingdom in a unjoyful state. I, Beowulf, along with my warriors composed of Danes, are traveling to this land and putting a end to this monsters rage and attacks. I have received word of this village by ear and that I should travel to this land and save it's people. That is now what I am destined to accomplish at this point in my life. We are sailing to this distant land and I have over prepared myself for this, awaiting what I may face. I am always prepared. For I, Beowulf, have already battled and defeated a many of monsters and giants of several different lands. When I come to Hrothgar's kingdom, I will prove with all my might that, I will avenge him and his people. He has seemed to be trusting to me and I am going to follow through. It seems I am the last hope for these poor helpless people and their village. I will end this pain and suffering.
The Monster Grendel
Last night was one of the most gruesome battles I, Beowulf, believe I have ever taken part in. This vile creature, Grendel, slipped into the mead hall and killed several men with out stirring anyone from their sleep. He made a meal of at least three, then he reached me. Thankfully, I am a light sleeper and was awaken before his attack on my body. I leaned back on one arm, as I seized him with the other. Grendel's eyes seemed to fill with fear, for I believe he has never met another human or monster alike, as strong as me. He pulled and wrestled to get his talons out of my grip, he no longer wanted to fight, just retreat into his hell hole. My Danes were to the side and watched as Grendel thrashed and rolled about, until he let out a terrible scream. Such a terrible scream, the Danes stayed cowering in their beds. After watching some of his wretched yells, the Danes arose, swords drawn and ready, to protect me if I was in need of protecting. Grendel began to loose his power and I could tell he was in great distraught realizing this. Then a loud snap and the sound of the muscles and bone ripping from Grendel's body filled the room, like music in the more beautiful times of Hrothgar kingdom. I had tore Grendel's arm from his body. Grendel then escaped from me, but knowing he would not live much longer from his wound, I let his infamous soul go. The Danes praised with delight at the sight of Grendel's arm, knowing that I had defeated him. I reached up to the rafters and hung Grendel's arm up high so everyone could see, arm, claws and shoulder and all.

The Travel To The Monster's Lair
We have reached the end of our major battle today. The battle with the Shewolf, who has been wondering in the swamps and the forest terrorizing many people, so they came to me to and have asked for my help. We went to her home, a lake that glowed like fire in the night, to battle her. I went into her home alone for I was the one who killed her son. I swam for hours until I finally reached the muddy bottom, where the mighty Shewolf was waiting. She immediately grabbed me in her claws and tore at my armor, trying to reach my flesh to tear me to pieces. Still I remained strong, for I was not going to let her over power me. Our struggle seemed to bring about all sorts of other monsters, so she started swimming with me and she took me into a great battle hall. She made the battle more even, there the monsters of the lake could not get to me and the heat was having no effect. I swung my sword at her, but it seemed that it could not slice her with all her evilness. I threw my sword to the side, for if my sword was useless to me, I would use my hands to kill her. I grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her to the floor, but she rose from the ground and began tearing at me, she pinned me to the ground and held me there. She sat on top of me and drew a dagger covered with dried blood, stabbing at me it did no use, my chain mail protected me from her blows. I threw her off and got to my feet, I looked over and saw a sword hammered by the giants hanging there. I grabbed it, in all hopes it would save me and swung it at her, catching her at the neck. The blade cut straight threw her flesh, separating it from her body. I had finally killed her. I walked threw her lair to find my way out and found the body of Grendel, where he had ran away from me to die. To avenge all he had killed, I cut off his head and returned to my world and presented it to Hrothgar and all his people.

The Final Battle
It is soon that the last battle will begin and I am not sure I am going to return. I have slayed the monster Grendel and traveled down to the wreched Shewolfs's lair and administated the same fate to her. My body has aged, my bones are weak, the entire situation is not looking in my favor. Still, I will hold my head high and never turn my back on my kingdom. I am not going to stop protecting my people now, expecially after all that I have already done for them, they depend on me and I will not let them down. With whatever treasures we may return with, I want my people to take the prizes and better my kingdom. If I do not live to see the end of this night, I want the people of my kingdom to build a tower in my honor, so my people and people from afar will see the tower and remember me. Then I have been thinking that I want to leave my kingdom to Wiglaf to lead my people. He is the last of my family and he has stood beside me no matter what I have faced. I would say that he is my most trusted man. We are about to start our journey now , so wish me luck and a safe return.
